Layers

Resarti is not one network but several, laid one over another: teams who build tools, people who build with earth, and more to come. Each layer keeps its own people and its own ways. They meet through people who belong to more than one.

A layer is a group held together by one interest and one way of working: the Tools layer keeps sovereign software and the machines it runs on; the Earth layer keeps earth and lime building, the craft and the buildings. A layer sets its own rules for its own work, and shares the charter with the others: shared law, sovereign locality.

Layers do not merge. They touch where a person, a team or a place belongs to two of them: someone who runs servers and plasters with lime; a team that hosts an earth-building school; a town where both are at work. Through those people the layers can trade, ask, teach and refer, partly and by consent, without either taking the other over.

This map lays the Resarti layer over one Earth layer that already exists, MEA, the Map of Earthen Architectures, to see where they are near each other and where a first bridge could be.

The Earth layer comes from MEA, the Map of Earthen Architectures, a project of the Associazione Internazionale Città della Terra Cruda with Associazione Terras, supported by the Regione Autonoma della Sardegna. MEA gathers, from the ground up, the buildings, activities and people of earth building in Italy. Its public map was read on 1 October 2026; repeated entries are shown once, and every place is shown at its town, never at an address, and people by kind only.

The Resarti layer is the map on resarti.com: places, never people. The dotted lines from a Resarti place to its nearest towns are distance only: they show where a first bridge could be, not that one exists.

The land is Natural Earth's, drawn in a Lambert azimuthal equal-area projection centred on Italy. The cities named for orientation are Natural Earth's too. No borders are drawn, national or regional.

The Earth layer belongs to MEA and its makers: this page credits and links to them, and shows only what their public map shows. People, and houses that carry a family name, appear here by kind only; their names and stories are on MEA.
